The application cycle for the 2026-27 year will open on May 1, 2026.
If you are new to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation, our mission is to help ease the transition from military to civilian careers for the Special Operations Community. We accomplish this by providing scholarships for higher education and professional training. Since our founding in 2012, we have awarded over $1,100,000 to 162 talented and hard-working individuals. Our Scholars have earned MD, PhD, JD, MBA, Master's and Bachelor's degrees. They have also trained to become commercial pilots, state troopers, NASCAR pit crew and more.

How to Apply
The GDMF Scholarship Application process for the 2025 - 26 academic year is closed. Scholarship applications are open from May 1 to June 15 each year and award decisions are made each August. All applicants will be notified as to our decision and recipients will hear directly from a member of our Scholarship Committee. Scholarships funds are sent shortly afterward.
