Just last weekend, seventeen teams competed with grit and sportsmanship, with Melrose High and Saugus/Peabody earning top honors and well-deserved trophies. Outstanding wrestlers of the day were Johnny Moraes (120 lbs, Melrose) and Dan Greaney (150 lbs, Leominster). Winchester delivered a strong team performance, finishing 9th overall, highlighted by Eddie Donlon’s 138 lb bracket win, a 2nd place finish by Henry Wallace (120 lbs), and podium finishes from Ilyas Malik, Luca Kovacev, and Rani Audi. Thank you to @winchesterwrestling , the coaching staff, athletes, volunteers, and everyone who helped make this inaugural tournament in the new gym such a success. Today would have been Glen's 55th birthday—a milestone in a life that continues to have a profound impact, a life characterized by service, adventure, friendship, and joy.
