Scott R.

Army- Active Duty

Harvard Business School - MBA

Scott’s career has been defined by service, leadership, and a pursuit of growth. A West Point graduate (2015), he led soldiers in the 3rd Infantry Division before joining the 75th Ranger Regiment and deploying to Afghanistan. In 2018, he earned his Green Beret and served as a Special Forces Detachment Commander, leading missions across Latin America and stateside, experiences that honed his adaptability, leadership, and commitment to service.

As he transitions from active duty, Scott has been accepted to Harvard Business School to pursue an MBA with a focus on private equity and venture capital. His goal is to provide capital and support to veteran entrepreneurs, empowering them to leverage their leadership skills in business and strengthen the start-up ecosystem. Beyond his career, he co-founded the Heartland Harbor Foundation, offering therapeutic outdoor experiences for veterans, first responders, and their families.

This scholarship would help Scott balance the financial responsibilities of supporting a family of five while advancing his education and civilian career, allowing him to continue serving veterans and the broader community with purpose and impact.
