University of Michigan Ross School of Business - MBA
Michael S. proudly served eight years in the U.S. Army, first as an enlisted Infantryman and later as an officer in both conventional and Special Operations units, including service as a Platoon Leader in the 1st Ranger Battalion and Executive Officer in The Old Guard. He is now a first-year MBA student at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, where he is pursuing a career in management consulting.
A proud Ann Arbor native, Michael was introduced to the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation by a mentor and deeply connects with Glen’s spirit of adventure, service, and excellence. He aims to carry that legacy forward by applying his military leadership experience to solve complex business challenges while giving back to the veteran community. Long-term, Michael hopes to focus on improving mental health access for veterans—continuing to serve others with purpose, compassion, and integrity.
