Matthew G.

Naval Special Warfare Development Group - 20 years

Duke University Fuqua School of Business - MBA

Matthew G. is a Navy SEAL with 18 years of service, currently assigned to Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Before joining the Teams, he spent seven years as a police officer. Serving and protecting others has driven the vast majority of his adult life.

Matthew and his wife, a nurse, have four children who are highly active in competitive sports. The family is adventurous, spending most of their free time at the sports fields, surfing, hiking, and enjoying time with friends.

As he prepares to retire from the military, Matthew will attend Duke University’s Weekend Executive MBA program this summer. He sees the degree as a way to build new skills in the business domain, continue growing as a leader, and set an example of lifelong learning for his children. Wherever his next career leads, he is committed to giving back by supporting the nation’s growth and financial stability.

Matthew believes in pursuing growth mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually, and he looks forward to being a resource for others who share those values and want to drive positive change.
