Kenneth "Casey" Dwayne Cowan

Casey grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 2018, where he majored in Systems Engineering and wrestled for four years. Upon graduation and commissioning, Casey successfully completed BUD/S training and began his career as a Naval Special Warfare officer.

Casey served with SEAL Team 8, NSWDG, and Naval Special Warfare Group Two. He held operational and tactical leadership roles across multiple deployments to East Africa, later supported advanced technology initiatives, and most recently worked with European special operations partners in a NATO-facing role. These experiences strengthened his ability to lead under pressure, build trust across diverse teams, and identify opportunities to deliver better tools and capabilities to warfighters.

After service, Casey will attend The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania to focus on entrepreneurship, venture investing, and national security innovation. Drawing on his operational experience and exposure to emerging defense technologies, he hopes to help identify, fund, and build companies that equip warfighters with advanced tools faster and more effectively, continuing his commitment to serve through innovation, leadership, and impact.
