Joshua B.

Army - Active Duty

Boston University - MA/MS

Joshua is preparing to transition from a demanding career in Special Operations to a new chapter that balances purpose, family, and long-term growth. After years of sacrifice and service, he is pursuing a master’s degree in mechanical engineering to build a future as an Experimental Test Pilot—bridging the gap between combat pilots and aerospace innovators. This role would allow him to advance aviation technology and enhance safety and performance for military pilots.

Though he once qualified for graduate studies through West Point’s GRADSO program, his shift to Warrant Officer status voided that opportunity. To pursue this degree, Joshua and his wife will rely solely on her income, savings, and potential loans. The Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation Scholarship would significantly ease this burden and help him achieve his broader goal: contributing to the advancement of space exploration and carrying forward a legacy of service and innovation beyond the battlefield.
