Axel Barker is not a veteran but the son of Thomas Barker, who was a Navy Seal for 21 years.

Thomas knew Glen from his time in the SEALs.

Axel’s plans for his scholarship from Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation are to help ease the debt he may accumulate from his college education. By finishing college with limited debt, he hopes to have a strong start in life without the ongoing burden of repayment.

With his degree, Axel aims to pursue a career in the automotive or weapons manufacturing fields—an ambition he has held for most of his life and one he is determined to see through.
