Austin Reitz

Son of U.S. Navy Veteran, 22 years

University of Utah, BA/BS

Austin is an Economics student at the University of Utah, an avid rock climber, and a member of Team USA. The son of a retired SEAL officer, he was raised on three simple rules: “Team first, then me,” “Never quit, never give up,” and “Failure’s good; learn from it.” Those values continue to shape his approach to academics, athletics, leadership, and service.

At Utah, he has maintained a 3.79 cumulative GPA while earning his place on Team USA, finishing second in lead climbing and third in bouldering at the 2025 Collegiate National Championships. He is working toward competing at the 2028 Olympic Games.

After college, he hopes to earn the opportunity to serve in the SEAL Teams, continuing a family tradition of service that spans generations. Whether through military service or leadership in business, his goal is to live a life of purpose, integrity, service to others, and excellence.
