MICHAEL C

Navy SEAL, US Navy - 11 years of service

Pilot's License

Michael is an active-duty SEAL nearing 11 years of service. Born and raised in Northern California, he joined the Navy when he was 18. Michael completed Basic Underwater Demolition / SEAL training in 2013 with BUD/S class 297 and has been assigned to ST-8, ST-3, and NSWG-1 Tradet. During his third platoon and assignment at NSWG-1 Tradet, he completed his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Norwich University. He recently discovered a passion for aviation and has been actively pursuing his pilot ratings in his free time. His ultimate goal is to transition into the field of aviation as an airline pilot and one day start a non-profit of his own, helping interested SOF operators get their start in aviation.

“The GDMF stepped up in a time when things were tight financially with my family. We had just bought a house, and to say pilot training is expensive is an understatement. They provided me with the opportunity to pursue my goal while greatly reducing the financial pressure on my family. There are no words that can express the gratitude we feel towards the GDMF.”
