The 2020 50th Anniversary NYC Marathon has been CANCELED!
A huge thank you to the runners that stepped up to train for 26.2 in honor of Glen. We hope to be back BIG in 2021!
One of our current GDMF Scholars, Shane Kronstedt signed up to run NYC to support his Special Ops Community. He has switched to Team GDMF Falmouth and continues to raise funds for our scholarship program. In lieu of NYC donations, we appreciate any contribution to our virtual Falmouth runners. They are working hard to help us mitigate the loss of revenue from these canceled events. Thank you!
We had a very successful outing in 2019 at the TCS NYC Marathon with 4 runners raising more than $24,000!
2020 APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
We have purchased 5 charity spots for the 2020 TCS NYC marathon on November 1st. Application and details are below.
Our goal is to hit $50,000 to provide scholarships to Special Operations soldiers, like Glen. Glen Doherty was a former Navy SEAL, killed in Benghazi, Libya when our American Consulate was attacked by terrorists. We established the Foundation to honor Glen, his love for life and dedication to this country.
We need YOU in November 2020! We are looking for marathon runners looking to support a military cause. Help us raise funds to provide current and former Special Ops soldiers an opportunity to transition to civilian life. It is also a fantastic way to say thank you to our “GDMF Scholars” for their service.
Please download our NYC Marathon Application. You can scan your application and email to the above address or send to our postal address on the left side of this page. We ask that all applications be filled out and returned by May 15th or until all spots are filled. Runners are required to raise a minimum of $5,000. We have 5 spots on the team and will make our selections by May 15th.
All entry fees and accommodations must be paid for by the participants. Hotel rooms will be reserved for our out of town runners, however expenses must be paid by the participant.
