The Boston Marathon is one of the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation’s key annual fundraisers. We have been a member of The John Hancock Non Profit Program since our inception in 2013. Last year we fielded a team of 6 runners - 4 charity runners and 2 qualified runners. 2 runners were members of the US Navy. All raised funds for the Glen Doherty Memorial Foundation and the team totalled $79,137.
Our 2019 Team GDMF goal is to raise over $85,000!
TEAM GDMF BOSTON 2019 NEEDS YOU!
We are now accepting applications for our 4 charity spots. Runners are required to raise $7,500 and the Foundation will assist in helping you clear $10,000! These bibs are in high demand. The average charity bib raised $12,488 in 2018 so in order to remain in the program we need to keep pace with this level of fundraising. We keep it creative and fun and will help you hit your goal!
Membership on Team GDMF includes bi-weekly updates with training & fundraising tips, organized long runs on the marathon course, great teammates, fantastic GDMF gear and MORE!
We welcome qualified runners to join our ranks! We currently have 1 qualified runner signed up to train with and raise funds for Team GDMF!
Captain, Kristin Donahue is back leading the team for the 7th year in a row. If you are interested, please contact Kristin at firstname.lastname@example.org.
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE NOVEMBER 15th. Team GDMF's roster will be announced the following week so that we can kick off our fundraising campaign for the Thanksgiving holiday and Giving Tuesday.
